Requirements
- One year of work experience (does not have to be in home health)
- 75 hours or more of RN led home health training including:
- CNA license or proof of completion of a CNA program
- HHA certificate or proof of completion of a HHA program
- Nursing student who has completed Med-Surg 1
Responsibilities
- Following a written plan of care by a registered nurse (RN), you’ll provide personal care, household support, and companion care (homemaker) services to help adults stay safe and independent at home.
- Activities of daily living: bathing, grooming, toileting, nail care, etc.
- Household support: light housekeeping, laundry, bed making, etc.
- Meal preparation and feeding
- Range of motion/exercises
- Assisting with ambulation (Transfers/use of mechanical lifting devices)
- Medication reminders
