About The Position

LCB Senior Living is hiring CNA / HHA's at The Residence at Paine Estate. This role involves providing for the needs of elders, including personal care, therapeutic programming, safety, and emotional support, in a manner that upholds dignity, independence, choice, and individuality. The duties include delivering services as outlined in each resident's approved service plan. Associates are expected to actively contribute to community occupancy growth by positively representing the community to potential residents, families, and professionals. All new associates must complete the community's and State orientation training program before regular duties begin. This role also involves assisting residents with medications, engaging them in meaningful interactions and activities, monitoring for changes in their needs and health status, assisting with clothing and laundry, helping residents with bedtime routines, maintaining resident unit neatness, responding promptly to emergency calls, participating in ongoing in-service training, escorting residents to meals and activities, documenting services provided (including incidents and refusals), and conducting/facilitating programming for cognitive stimulation, socialization, physical activity, and spiritual connection. Other duties as requested may also be assigned.

Requirements

  • Must have completed the course for certified nursing assistant or have equivalent training or experience as required by State Regulation.
  • Must have CPR and First Aide training as mandated by the State employed.
  • Current license/certification as required by State Regulation.
  • Ability to use computer for documenting services provided.
  • Fluent in the ability to communicate in the English language, both oral and written.
  • Demonstrates computer literacy and familiarity with office software, including but not limited to word processing or demonstrate the ability to learn data input.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience providing direct care or the equivalent in training.
  • Experience in caring for seniors with Alzheimer's disease or other forms of Dementia is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Promote the mission and core values of the Residence and LCB Senior Living.
  • Actively participate in growing community occupancy by representing the community positively.
  • Complete community and State orientation training.
  • Assist residents with medications according to State Regulation and LCB Policies, making required record entries and notifications.
  • Actively engage residents in meaningful interactions and experiences.
  • Provide assistance, encouragement, and restorative interventions for residents' activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, dining, mobility).
  • Take initiative in engaging in group and individual engagement.
  • Monitor for changes in resident needs, preferences, and health status and report/document them immediately.
  • Assist Residents with clothing and laundry needs.
  • Assist Residents in going to bed at night.
  • Assist Residents with keeping their units neat, clean, and orderly.
  • Answer emergency calls and attend to Residents' needs promptly.
  • Participate in regularly scheduled on-going in-service training programs and specialized staff training programs.
  • Assist with escorting residents to meals and engagement.
  • Document scheduled and unscheduled services provided, including incidents, behaviors, and out-of-the-ordinary events, and residents' refusal of services.
  • Input information into the community computer tracking system regarding services provided to residents.
  • Conduct and facilitate programming, including therapeutic groups and individual interaction, that offer cognitive stimulation, socialization, physical activity, and spiritual connection.
