About The Position

LCB Senior Living is hiring CNA / HHA's at The Residence at Charles Meadow. This role involves providing for the needs of elders, including personal care, therapeutic programming, safety, and emotional support, while upholding their dignity, independence, choice, and individuality. The duties include delivering services as outlined in the resident's approved service plan.

Requirements

  • Must have completed the course for certified nursing assistant or have equivalent training or experience as required by State Regulation.
  • CPR and First Aide training as mandated by the State employed.
  • Ability to use computer for documenting services provided.
  • Fluent in the ability to communicate in the English language, both oral and written.
  • Current license/certification as required by State Regulation.
  • Demonstrates computer literacy and familiarity with office software, including but not limited to word processing or demonstrate the ability to learn data input.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience providing direct care or the equivalent in training preferred.
  • Experience in caring for seniors with Alzheimer's disease or other forms of Dementia is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Promote the mission and core values of the Residence and LCB Senior Living.
  • Actively engage residents in meaningful interactions and experiences.
  • Provide assistance, encouragement, and restorative interventions for residents' activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, dining, mobility).
  • Monitor for changes in resident needs, preferences, and health status, reporting any changes immediately.
  • Assist residents with clothing and laundry needs.
  • Assist residents in going to bed.
  • Assist residents in keeping their units neat, clean, and orderly.
  • Answer emergency calls and attend to residents' needs promptly.
  • Participate in regularly scheduled on-going in-service training programs and specialized staff training programs.
  • Assist with escorting residents to meals and engagement activities.
  • Document scheduled and unscheduled services provided, including incidents, behaviors, and out-of-the-ordinary events, and residents' refusal of services.
  • Input information into the community computer tracking system regarding services provided to residents.
  • Conduct and facilitate programming, including therapeutic groups and individual interaction, that offer cognitive stimulation, socialization, physical activity, and spiritual connection.
  • Other duties as requested.
