About The Position

Assisting Hands Home Care is seeking compassionate and reliable caregivers to provide home care to clients in Norfolk and Suffolk Counties and surrounding areas. Caregivers help clients with daily activities, mobility, meals, medication reminders, companionship, and maintaining a clean and safe home environment. The agency provides an RN Supervisor for field support, training, resources, and client matching. Caregivers may build a flexible schedule and can pursue opportunities to advance into office roles in client relations, scheduling, or recruiting.

Requirements

Proficiency in English.
Current CNA or HHA certification, or caregiving experience.
Nursing students seeking patient care experience are welcome.
Strong communication skills and a caring nature.
Ability to follow a care plan and provide compassionate, patient-centered care.
Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
Ability to pass background checks.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in home care or a similar setting is a plus but is not required.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with bathing, dressing, grooming, and other daily activities while supporting their dignity and comfort.
Assist with mobility, transfers, light exercise, and walking.
Prepare and serve meals.
Provide medication reminders; training is provided.
Provide companionship and engage clients in activities.
Maintain a clean and safe environment in clients' homes.
Occasionally transport clients to appointments or errands; mileage is reimbursed.
Follow clients' care plans and provide compassionate, patient-centered care.
Demonstrate dedication to clients and respect for the agency's team.
