CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant
About The Position
Macas Homecare is seeking a compassionate, reliable aide/caregiver to provide daily living and personal care services in a client's home in Fort Washington, Prince George's County, Maryland. The caregiver will provide care and assistance in accordance with the client's established care plan. The schedule is once a week, with the possibility of increasing hours and days, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM (8 hours per day). The position is expected to start as soon as possible. Care includes assistance with eating, bathing and showering, grooming and dressing, incontinence care, ambulation, and transfers. The client requires extensive physical assistance and equipment, or a mechanical lift.
Requirements
- Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
Nice To Haves
- Experience with transfers and a Hoyer lift is extremely favorable.
- A valid driver's license is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Provide care and assistance in accordance with the client's established care plan.
- Assist with eating.
- Assist with bathing and showering.
- Assist with grooming and dressing.
- Provide incontinence care.
- Assist with ambulation.
- Assist with transfers, including use of equipment or a mechanical lift as needed.
