About The Position

Adoration Hospice is seeking a passionate and dedicated Hospice CNA to provide dignity, comfort, and support to patients and families in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, covering Williamson and Rutherford counties. The role provides one-to-one care in patients’ homes, with flexible, as-needed scheduling. CNAs work independently while receiving support from the hospice team and contribute to compassionate care for people with terminal illnesses.

Requirements

• Meet the training requirements of the state of practice.
• At least six months of experience, including providing personal care.
• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Complete at least 75 hours of classroom and supervised practical training; 16 classroom hours must be completed before the required 16 hours of practical training.
• Possess and maintain current CPR certification in states where required.
• Be able to read and follow written instructions and document care provided.
• Understand hospice philosophy and be comfortable providing specialized care to terminally ill patients.
• Be able to work with little direct supervision and handle death and dying.
• Have strong oral and written communication skills.
• Have good organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Help patients with bathing, dressing, toileting, mobility, and repositioning.
• Observe and report changes in patients’ conditions.
• Assist with ambulation, transfers, range-of-motion exercises, and safe equipment use.
• Help patients with self-administered medications in accordance with state regulations.
• Provide companionship and emotional comfort to patients and families.
• Change linens, assist with meals, and maintain a clean space.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care.
• Collaborate with the hospice interdisciplinary team.
