About The Position

BrightStar Care is hiring Caregivers and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) for full- and part-time opportunities in different parts of the Salt Lake Valley. Work is available across a variety of assignments and may be in-home or facility-based, with flexible schedules and weekend and evening opportunities. Employees are part of a team with RN oversight. The role provides personal care under the direction of a nursing supervisor and care according to each patient’s plan of care. Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Certified CPR.
Negative TB skin test or chest X-ray.
Licensed driver with their own insured and reliable automobile.
Ability to work with little direct supervision.
Empathy for clients’ needs.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English and communicate effectively.
Treat clients, staff, and the public with courtesy and respect, and present a positive public image.
Ability to stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push, and pull.
Ability to provide varied assistance depending on the client’s mobility.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Provide personal care as directed by a nursing supervisor, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and taking vital signs.
Provide care according to the patient’s plan of care, including feeding, meal preparation, light housekeeping, and transportation.
