About The Position

The Caregiver/CNA provides care and support to elderly clients in and around Lucedale, Mississippi, either in clients’ homes or in a facility. The role focuses on helping clients with daily living activities, providing comfort measures, monitoring and reporting relevant information, collaborating with healthcare staff, and offering companionship and emotional support. Flexible schedules are available for both day and night shifts.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• State Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification, if applicable.
• Current CPR certification.
• Basic computer skills.
• Strong oral communication abilities for interacting with clients, healthcare professionals, and team members.
• Calm, professional demeanor, including in high-pressure or fast-paced situations.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily living activities, including turning, ambulation, bathing, dressing, and supporting proper nutrition and hydration.
• Provide comfort measures such as therapeutic baths, ice packs, and dressings as needed.
• Record information such as food intake and urinary and fecal output, and communicate observations to physicians, nurses, and other healthcare staff.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide personalized care addressing each client’s needs.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to help clients feel safe and comfortable.
