About The Position

Delta Research, an Aerospace company, is an AS9100 and ISO9001 registered facility that manufactures Gear Products, Prototype/Production, and Transmission Builds. They also provide contract gear and CMM inspection services, and are a NADCAP approved non-destructive testing facility offering Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI) and Nital Etch. This position is for the 1st Shift, working Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Applicants must be U.S. Citizens or have permanent Resident Status due to ITAR business restrictions. Delta does not provide immigration-related sponsorship.

Requirements

Understanding of GD&T required
Prior CMM Programming experience
CMM Programming experience using Open DMIS (preferred) or PC-DMIS
Experience in a job shop or a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of Inspection tools and best practices.
Positive, can do, attitude with great attendance.
Must be U.S. Citizens or have permanent Resident Status due to ITAR business restrictions.

Nice To Haves

CMM Programming experience using Open DMIS

Responsibilities

Support the Quality and Manufacturing departments with 1st Piece Inspection, In-Process Inspection and Final Inspection of finished parts using CMM.
Use manual handheld inspection tools such as micrometers, gages and other inspection equipment while CMM is running longer cycle times.
Set-up next job(s) in line while CMM is checking parts.
Perform layout inspections, first piece approvals, in-process inspections, and other aspects of inspection throughout the manufacturing process.
Perform other quality-related duties as assigned.
