About The Position
We are seeking a skilled CMM Programmer to join our team in Mequon. This on-site role involves writing and optimizing CMM inspection routines, performing various types of inspections, and creating detailed inspection reports. You will also be responsible for training operators on basic CMM usage and collaborating with the tool room on fixture design. This position is crucial for maintaining our quality standards in a precision machining environment.
Requirements
- CMM programming and operation in a machining or manufacturing setting
- Proficiency with dimensional inspection tools (micrometers, calipers, bore gauges)
- Strong GD&T and blueprint interpretation skills
- Experience with ISO 9001 quality system
Nice To Haves
- PC-DMIS proficiency
- IATF 16949 or AS9100 experience
- Experience with Creo, SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD software
- Familiarity with CNC milling and turning
- Experience with QC-Calc or other SPC software
- Root cause analysis and corrective action experience
Responsibilities
- Writing and optimizing CMM inspection routines
- Performing First Article, in-process, and final inspections
- Creating ballooned drawings and FAI documentation
- Generating inspection reports for internal teams and customers
- Training operators on basic CMM use
- Assisting in the design of fixtures with the tool room
