About The Position
Operate the Coordinate Measuring Machine to perform dimensional lay-outs for the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), internal and customer-requested capability studies, and other measuring requirements. Maintain the Calibration program. Assist in overall conformance to the company policies and procedures.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Intermediate computer skills with Windows based software
Responsibilities
- Operate the Coordinate Measuring Machine with expertise and reasonable speed
- Understand software in use for statistical studies and CAD data
- Prepare statistical calculations and reports
- Understand and be able to continuously improve the Calibration Program
- Maintain the Calibration Program to keep calibrations up-to-date
- Perform minor in-house calibration schedule so all affected equipment is calibrated on a timely basis
- Perform capability studies & Gage R&Rs
- Perform a Layered Process Audits
- Assist with problem solving and other functions in the Quality Department
