About The Position

We are a leading aerospace manufacturer committed to precision, innovation, and quality. Our components support critical aerospace systems, and we pride ourselves on maintaining the highest industry standards. We are seeking a skilled CMM Programmer to join our quality assurance team and help ensure our products meet exacting specifications. The CMM Programmer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) programs to inspect complex aerospace components. This role requires a strong understanding of GD&T, blueprint interpretation, and aerospace quality standards.

Requirements

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3+ years of CMM programming experience, preferably in the aerospace industry
  • Proficiency with CMM software (PC-DMIS, Calypso, or similar)
  • Strong understanding of GD&T and blueprint reading
  • Experience with CAD models and metrology tools
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of aerospace standards (e.g., AS9100) is preferred
  • Experience with multi-axis or complex geometries
  • Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-precision environment

Responsibilities

  • Develop and optimize CMM programs using industry-standard software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso)
  • Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections on precision components
  • Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and GD&T requirements
  • Analyze inspection data and generate detailed reports
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve quality issues
  • Maintain calibration and ensure proper functioning of inspection equipment
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to inspection processes
