About The Position

CMM Programmer – Custom Machine Shop Advance CNC Machining-Grove city, Ohio Salary: $90,000 DOE We are seeking an expert-level CMM Programmer who’s enjoyable to work with, and that can thoughtfully bring the ownership, effectiveness and quality needed to help our growing $20 million company keep up with the rapidly rising demand. Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on Calypso programming experience (required)
• Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T
• Thorough understanding of dimensional metrology principles and applications
• Competitive programming times
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Nice To Haves

• CMM inspection experience with curve forms, maximum material condition, and advanced GD&T (preferred, not required)
• Familiarity with machining, especially 4- and 5-axis milling (preferred, not required)

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize high-quality CMM programs using ZEISS Calypso software (for a ZEISS Contura CMM 10/12/6 RDS with Vast XXT and a ZEISS Contura CMM 7/10/6 with Vast XT Gold)
• Proof CMM programs and make necessary adjustments
• Inspection planning, including ballooning drawings
• Interpret and analyze CMM reports, measurement results, and part specifications
• Support troubleshooting and validation activities to achieve FA qualifications quickly and efficiently
• Collaborate with Quality and Production teams to make and measure parts correctly the first time
• Provide insights and recommendations to improve accuracy, repeatability, and efficiency
