This role is within the Personal Care division, specifically focusing on the Skin Cleansing category in the US market. The personal care market is dynamic, with new trends and formats reshaping consumer habits. Unilever is a category leader in Skin Cleansing with brands like Dove, Dove Men, and Olly, and this role is crucial for driving category growth and trends. The position requires an analytical and strategic research and insight expert who can translate data into powerful perspectives and recommendations. The individual will need to quickly understand the category dynamics, identify opportunities and challenges, and collaborate cross-functionally to address business issues such as sales/share growth, consumer segmentation, pricing, and trends. This role is part of the US Personal Care CMI team and works closely with the US Skin Cleansing Category Vertical team. The role reports to the CMI Head of Dove Skin Cleansing and Masterbrand, who also leads the US Skin Cleansing CMI vertical. This position is second-in-command for US Skin Cleansing CMI and will participate in key leadership team forums, requiring strong leadership and ownership. The role involves interaction with diverse business partners across brands, functions, and geographies in a fast-paced, inclusive, and fun team culture, offering exposure to a wide range of marketing and research aspects.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree required.
  • Demonstrated high performance, 10+ years of relevant consumer research experience (such as data analytics, custom research, social platform research and analytics, consulting, retail, or marketing).
  • CPG experience is preferred.
  • Experience in in-market performance data analytics (sales, purchase/usage panel, pricing, distribution, etc.) is a must – both scanning and panel data sources.
  • Experience in brand equity/health area, custom quantitative and qualitative research in addition is preferred.
  • Management experience is required – responsibility for leading and growing direct report.
  • Strong inter-personal communication skills to work effectively in a high-speed, dynamic work environment with a large number of different business partners and stakeholders.
  • Comfortable speaking up to land your perspectives.

  • Advanced degree in Marketing, Marketing Research, Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Economics or Business is welcomed.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Unmissable Brand Superiority for Skin Cleansing brands.
  • Innovation Insights & Testing: Horizon 1 Innovation on Dove & Dove Men, E2E on Olly Skin Cleansing.
  • Deploy/ Creation, Testing and Measurement, including digital, social, POSM excellence: Engagement (including Social First Demand Generation) on key cleansing brands Dove, Dove Men, Olly, emerging brands.
  • Lead the agenda for Social First Demand Generation for Skin Cleansing US – from social listening to driving improved creative quality to measurement of impact.
  • Skin Cleansing Category Strategic Foresights: Emerging behaviors, changing/ evolving consumer needs, thought leadership/ future of demand generation marketing for US.
  • Manage social listening tools and conduct searches, keep a pulse on trends, and deliver insights related to growing spaces.
  • Lead and grow direct reports.
