You will independently execute Configuration Management (CM) and Data Management (DM) activities to support assigned products or programs, ensuring configuration integrity, data accuracy, and traceability across the product lifecycle. You’ll work autonomously within established processes, applying configuration management standards while collaborating cross‑functionally to influence alignment, quality, and compliance outcomes.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in Configuration Management and/or Data Management in a regulated or controlled environment.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced, hands‑on experience using Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems.
  • Strong understanding of configuration control principles and the product lifecycle.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Active Secret Clearance required.

Nice To Haves

  • CMII or CMPIC certification.
  • Practical working knowledge of the EIA‑649 Configuration Management standard.
  • Experience supporting cross‑functional product or program teams.
  • Ability to define and refine data and business case requirements to influence decisions.
  • Comfort collaborating beyond Quality/CDM (e.g., Program Management, Contracts, Engineering, Manufacturing, Strategic Sourcing, Security).
  • A proactive mindset focused on alignment, traceability, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain configuration and data management activities for assigned product(s) and/or program(s) in accordance with defined CM/DM processes.
  • Ensure accurate configuration control, versioning, baselines, and data integrity throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Apply EIA‑649 principles to guide configuration management decisions and execution.
  • Own day‑to‑day CM/DM support for assigned products or programs.
  • Coordinate with cross‑functional teams to resolve configuration or data‑related issues.
  • Identify, assess, and appropriately escalate complex issues, risks, or gaps to senior CDM personnel.
  • Use PLM tools to manage configuration structures, releases, and supporting data.
  • Support the CDM Manager by providing backup coverage and assistance as needed.
  • Contribute to documentation, reports, metrics, and presentations.
  • Communicate configuration status, risks, and recommendations clearly to stakeholders.
