About The Position

Responsible for providing a variety of patient care activities under the supervision of a physician, advanced practice provider (APP), or registered nurse, in accordance with established guidelines and standards.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or completion of a Nursing Assistant program, or, in lieu of formal education, one year of medical assistant or related clinical experience.
• No experience is required; alternatively, one year of medical assistant or related clinical experience may be used in lieu of the required degree/program.
• Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification is required.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or a similarly recognized certifying organization, or National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) certification from NCTT, is required.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.
