About The Position

Rockhill Women's Care is seeking a compassionate, dependable Certified Medical Assistant to support patient care at its OB/GYN practice. The role includes welcoming and preparing patients, assisting providers with exams and minor procedures, performing clinical tasks, maintaining accurate electronic medical records, and supporting an organized clinical environment. The position is full-time, Monday through Friday, at the practice's locations in Overland Park/Leawood or Lee's Summit, Kansas City area. Starting wage is $17.50–$20.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications. The practice is physician-owned, has 12 female providers, and has served the Kansas City area for more than 35 years.

Nice To Haves

Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification preferred.
OB/GYN experience preferred but not required.
Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

Welcome patients in person and by telephone with professionalism and compassion.
Escort patients to exam rooms and prepare them for visits and procedures.
Obtain vital signs and medical histories, and verify visit information.
Assist providers during exams and minor office procedures.
Prepare and process laboratory specimens.
Administer medications as directed.
Process prescription refill requests according to provider instructions.
Sterilize instruments and maintain infection control standards.
Accurately document information in the electronic medical record system.
Maintain exam room and medical supply inventory.
Help create a safe, organized, and efficient clinical environment.
Protect patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA guidelines.
Support coworkers and contribute to a positive team culture.
