About The Position

This role is for a Float CMA/LPN/RN who will implement, apply, and follow approved protocols and standing orders, as well as all approved workflows. The position involves providing age-appropriate nursing care and accurately documenting all services rendered in the patient’s electronic medical record, consistent with Boice-Willis Clinic’s policies and procedures. Responsibilities include preparing patients for exams, assisting with referral facilitation for specialty care, imaging, or laboratory studies, and managing medication reconciliation, education, prior authorizations, and refills. The role requires responding to patient calls and web encounters within 24-48 business hours, administering and documenting medications, vaccines, and therapeutic injections (potentially across multiple systems), and maintaining supply, medication, and sample inventories. Compliance with AAMA regulations, HIPAA, OSHA, Compliance, and IT standards is mandatory. The position also supports Quality Initiatives through data collection and compliance. Specific tasks may vary by provider specialty, and travel between offices may be required. Other duties may be assigned by administration and/or providers.

Requirements

  • Must be a CMA, LPN, or RN.
  • Ability to implement, apply, and follow approved protocols and standing orders.

  • Proficiency in accurate electronic medical record documentation.
  • Ability to prep patients for exams.
  • Skill in assisting with referral facilitation.
  • Capability to manage medication reconciliation, education, prior authorizations, and refills.
  • Ability to respond to patient communications within 24-48 business hours.
  • Proficiency in administering and documenting medications, vaccines, and therapeutic injections.
  • Ability to maintain supply, medication, and sample inventories.
  • Compliance with AAMA regulations.
  • Compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, Compliance, and IT standards and policies.
  • Support for Quality Initiatives through data collection and compliance.
  • Willingness to travel between offices if needed.

Responsibilities

  • Prep patient for any exams that will take place during appointment.
  • Assist with referral facilitation including for specialty care, imaging, or laboratory studies.
  • Fulfill all medication reconciliation, education, prior authorizations, and refills as needed.
  • Reply 24 – 48 business hours to all patient calls or web encounters to include communications regarding results, new medication instructions, etc.
  • Administer and document the administration of medications, vaccines, and therapeutic injections - documentation in multiple systems may be required.
  • Maintain supply, medication, and sample inventories per Boice-Willis Clinic policies.
  • Comply with all limits and requirements of position within the AAMA regulations.
  • Comply with all HIPAA, OSHA, Compliance, and IT standards and policies.
  • Support Quality Initiatives (ACO, Meaningful Use, PCMH, and PQRS) by data collection and compliance of respected programs.
  • Perform job specific tasks for each area within the Clinic which will vary according to specialty of provider.
  • Travel between offices may be needed if warranted.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by administration and/or providers.
