About The Position

Peraton is seeking a Cloud Software Engineer to support a mission-critical enterprise service delivering software security solutions across customer enclaves. This role supports a cloud-based platform leveraging microservices and containerized technologies to enable security, scalable, and resilient operations. The engineer will work within a collaborative team environment, partnering with cross-agency stakeholders to design, develop, and sustain enterprise operational capabilities in support of national security missions. This position is part of the Operations team and does not involve on-call duties.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or in a related technical field (or equivalent experience). A Master’s degree in a Technical Field will be considered equivalent to four (4) years of experience. A degree in Mathematics, Information Systems, Engineering, or similar degree will be considered as a technical field.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant software engineering experience.
  • Experience across the software development lifecycle including design, development, integration, testing, and maintenance.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with a current polygraph is required.
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level I certification (Security+ or higher).
  • One of the following certifications: AWS Certified Developer – Associate, AWS DevOps Engineer – Professional, Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD), Elastic Certified Engineer.

Responsibilities

  • Key performer on the Operations team to monitor, maintain, deploy, secure, and sustain a cloud-based microservice built software solution.
  • Support the software engineering team with their design, development, testing, and sustainment of the software products.
  • Contribute to architecture and design reviews, and assist in shaping technical approaches, timelines, and project scope.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve testing, and production issues.
  • Support customers across the customer mission space.
  • Collaborate with team members to review and refine software, and system updates.
  • Assist in shaping technical approaches, timelines, and project scope.
