About The Position

Peraton is seeking a Cloud Software Engineer to support a mission-critical enterprise service delivering software security solutions across customer enclaves. This role supports a cloud-based platform leveraging microservices and containerized technologies to enable security, scalable, and resilient operations. The engineer will work within a collaborative team environment, partnering with cross-agency stakeholders to design, develop, and sustain enterprise operational capabilities in support of national security missions. This position is part of the Operations team and does not involve on-call duties.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or in a related technical field (or equivalent experience). A Master’s degree in a Technical Field will be considered equivalent to four (4) years of experience. A degree in Mathematics, Information Systems, Engineering, or similar degree will be considered as a technical field.
Minimum 5 years of relevant software engineering experience.
Experience across the software development lifecycle including design, development, integration, testing, and maintenance.
Active TS/SCI clearance with a current polygraph is required.
DoD 8570 IAT Level I certification (Security+ or higher).
One of the following certifications: AWS Certified Developer – Associate, AWS DevOps Engineer – Professional, Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD), Elastic Certified Engineer.

Responsibilities

Key performer on the Operations team to monitor, maintain, deploy, secure, and sustain a cloud-based microservice built software solution.
Support the software engineering team with their design, development, testing, and sustainment of the software products.
Contribute to architecture and design reviews, and assist in shaping technical approaches, timelines, and project scope.
Troubleshoot and resolve testing, and production issues.
Support customers across the customer mission space.
Collaborate with team members to review and refine software, and system updates.
