Requirements

  • Must be able to obtain TS security clearance.
  • Significant experience with at least one cloud service provider including Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
  • Knowledge on how containers work in AWS and Azure and how to secure them.
  • General knowledge of Azure PowerShell, OCI CLI and AWS CLI.
  • Experience with implementing Office 365 in an Enterprise environment.
  • Understanding of SaaS and IaaS private cloud connectivity to an Enterprise environment.
  • Understanding of the Oracle OCI, AWS and Azure and their service limits.
  • Understanding of differences between commercial and government clouds.
  • Knowledge of Cisco CSRv1000 and Palo Alto virtual firewalls.
  • Significant experience with supporting and maintaining F5 BIG-IP devices to include initial configuration, software maintenance, and operational support. Familiarity with various F5 components to include Local Traffic Manager (LTM), Application Security Manager (ASM), iRules, and Secure Sockets Layer Orchestrator (SSLO).
  • Experience with SSL and TLS implementation including certificate creation and implementation, traffic decryption, and traffic ciphers.
  • Intermediate knowledge of networking and systems administration; and the ability to troubleshoot problems.
  • Experience with TCPDump, Wireshark and analyzing network traffic.
  • Knowledge and experience working with Virtual Private Networks (VPN), Firewalls, Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS), and associated technologies preferred.
  • Proven skills in discussing and planning application architecture with cross-functional application, business, technical teams and third-party vendors.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in AWS, Azure and/or OCI.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in business planning meetings to understand and recommend the best technical, most cost-effective, network solutions that meet initial capacity, long-term scalability and growth, and performance requirements.
  • Adhere and follow all change management policies to ensure that the work is documented and meets the organizational requirements. This includes the creation, submission, review, and periodic representation of complex changes in the weekly change management meetings.
  • Document administrative items, projects, and support issues as needed to provide a reference to team members, other teams, and management.
  • Completion of the incidents and requests should also meet the specified SLT and SLA requirements.
  • Share both technical and non-technical knowledge with team members in both a formal and informal manner.
  • Seek ways to develop oneself in areas that are technical in nature and non-technical where relevant to the current role held within the organization, whether it is through certifications, training, or conferences.
  • Serve as a resource for the Cloud Network Engineer Team for the deployment of Cloud initiatives.
  • Submit status reports as requested to the team manager and verbally during team meetings.
  • Be able to multi-task and handle multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Support, implement, and maintain security components in a hybrid cloud network, including firewalls, routers, Virtual Private Network (VPN) devices, load balancers, and Web Application Firewalls (WAF).
  • Configure and maintain cloud-native security components such as network security groups, security lists, and network Access Control Lists (ACL).
  • Use scripting and automation technologies such as Python, PowerShell, and F5 iRules to simplify and streamline deployment and operations tasks.
  • Troubleshoot and analyze server performance, workload distribution, and component sizing in a cloud environment.
  • Assist with the implementation and optimization of server monitoring tools to maintain visibility on capacity, security, availability, continuity, and usage/speed metrics that fall outside optimal parameters.
  • Extend On Premise Network to Cloud over direct connect and private gateways.
  • Demonstrate experience as a Systems Engineer to include network design, documentation, installation, operational support, and configuration of network devices.
  • Configure and support Transport Layer Security (TLS) decryption and inspection devices in both physical and virtual environments.
