Requirements

• 8+ years’ professional programming experience
• Deep expertise in Java/Spring Boot, .NET 8+, and VueJS
• Proficiency with Git, Github Copilot (CLI), and modern IDEs (IntelliJ, VS Code, Visual Studio)
• Strong experience with relational/NoSQL databases, Redis, RabbitMQ
• Demonstrated ability to contribute to large, polyglot codebases and adapt to shifting priorities
• Familiarity with cloud-native platforms (Pivotal Cloud Foundry/Tanzu, Azure, Kubernetes)
• Experience driving test-driven development and working in pair programming environments
• Proactive problem-solving skills and a growth-oriented, collaborative mindset
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Python
• Hands-on Claude Code experience
• Previous work in the insurance industry
• Mentorship experience in professional settings
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and GitHub Actions

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and deliver robust, scalable cloud-native solutions using Java/Spring Boot, .NET 8+, and VueJS
• Champion AI-augmented development, evaluating and embedding AI coding tools like Github Copilot and Claude Code into workflow and playbooks
• Mentor and pair with developers to introduce XP, TDD, and modern engineering practices
• Troubleshoot and optimize complex distributed systems, utilizing logs, metrics, and streaming data
• Partner with leads to set architectural standards, ensuring alignment between business and technical strategy
• Continuously research, experiment, and roll out emerging development patterns, tools, and frameworks
• Foster a culture of experimentation, learning, and open feedback within the team
