About The Position

CLA is seeking a Cloud Engineer to join its Digital team and support the delivery of client-facing cloud infrastructure solutions. The role involves working alongside experienced cloud and infrastructure professionals to help clients implement, migrate, secure, and optimize cloud environments. The engineer will contribute to Microsoft 365, Azure, virtualization, and infrastructure modernization projects while developing technical expertise in a collaborative consulting environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required; a combination of relevant experience, education, and training may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience required.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 technologies.
• Familiarity with identity and access management concepts, cloud networking, storage, backup, virtualization, and security practices.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, organization, and documentation skills.

Nice To Haves

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
• 5 years of experience preferred.
• Infrastructure or cloud engineering experience in a consulting, managed services, or enterprise cloud engineering environment preferred.
• Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Security, VMware, Nutanix, or related cloud and virtualization certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with implementation, support, and maintenance of client cloud infrastructure solutions using modern cloud engineering and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.
• Configure and support Microsoft 365, Azure, identity, networking, storage, backup, virtualization, and related cloud technologies.
• Participate in cloud, tenant, workload, and infrastructure migrations, including planning, testing, cutover support, validation, and transition activities.
• Gather and document business and technical requirements, current-state environments, dependencies, and project considerations under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Assess cloud and virtual infrastructure environments and provide recommendations for modernization, optimization, performance improvements, security enhancements, and operational efficiency.
• Monitor cloud and virtual infrastructure environments and help troubleshoot availability, performance, authentication, configuration, backup, synchronization, and security-related issues.
• Contribute to automation and process improvement initiatives using IaC, scripting, source control, and DevOps tools.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including environment inventories, migration plans, procedures, runbooks, test results, and transition materials.
• Apply cloud security, identity management, governance, compliance, monitoring, and change management practices.
• Collaborate with clients, vendors, and project teams to communicate status, resolve issues, support knowledge transfer, and contribute to successful project outcomes.
