About The Position

The Closing Store Manager oversees store operations during evening hours, ensuring excellent customer service, maintaining store standards, supervising staff, and securing the facility at closing. The role requires leadership, problem-solving, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced retail environment. Requirements

• Minimum of 2+ years of experience in retail grocery operations or a similar role.
• Valid Food Handler Certification.

• Thorough and clear documentation skills.

Nice To Haves

• College degree or equivalent experience in a retail store operations environment.
• Command of Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead evening store associates across all departments.
• Ensure exceptional customer service and promptly resolve customer concerns.
• Maintain product merchandising, stocking, facing, and cleanliness throughout the store.
• Manage employee performance, provide coaching, and ensure adherence to company policies.
• Coordinate and delegate tasks to prepare the store for the next business day.
• Monitor inventory levels and communicate replenishment needs.
• Oversee cash handling, register reconciliation, and end-of-day financial reporting.
• Conduct closing procedures, including security checks, alarm activation, and facility lock-up.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.
• Respond to operational issues and make decisions to maintain efficient store operations.
• Assist with scheduling and labor management as directed by store leadership.
• Complete the store closing procedures in the Action Card Closing Manager checklist.
