About The Position

Busy Bees is seeking a Closing Lead Teacher for its North Phoenix, Arizona center. The Lead Teacher works alongside teachers and families to provide a home-away-from-home for children in care, following Early Learning Leaders NAC guidelines. The role serves children from 6 weeks through 12 years of age and involves creating developmentally appropriate learning experiences, maintaining a safe and welcoming environment, and communicating with families. The position is full-time and has no evenings or weekends.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 6 months of experience in a licensed child care facility.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask and remain organized.
• Ability to work within regular operating hours.
• Must meet state criteria for child care employment.
• Must have a Level 1 Fingerprint Card.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and supervision of children ages 6 weeks to 12 years.
• Create developmentally appropriate curriculum according to NAC standards and the Arizona Early Learning Standards.
• Develop programs and activities based on children’s interests and learning styles.
• Maintain a warm, safe, and clean environment where children can grow and explore.
• Partner with families to create plans that provide appropriate care and education for their children.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about their child.
