About The Position

CNO Financial Group is seeking a CLO Portfolio Analyst for its 40|86 Advisors group. This role will primarily focus on ensuring portfolios adhere to investor requirements, with opportunities to learn about fundamental credit analysis, portfolio and risk management, and structured credit. The group manages approximately $1.25 billion in leveraged loans within CLO structures and $350 million in CLO debt securities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or analytical Liberal Arts major
• 0-1 years of experience, inclusive of internship experience. Recent grads are welcome to apply!
• Proficiency in Excel, VBA and Python is required.
• A strong passion for financial markets and willingness to learn, ask questions, and accept guidance and feedback.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Portfolio of VBA or Python projects for review
• Interest in pursuing CFA designation in the future

Responsibilities

• Ensuring monthly and quarterly reports are accurate and distributed to investors.
• Monitoring compliance with indenture requirements and identifying tests at risk of failure.
• Developing and maintaining various risk and analytical models that assist in identifying market dislocations and opportunities.
• Working with the AVP and VP of Leveraged Loans on portfolio optimization strategies.
• Working with the traders and trustees in determining our daily investable cash.
