About The Position

The Clinician provides quality, confidential healthcare in compliance with state law, PPGNHAIK medical standards and guidelines, organizational protocols, and current evidence-based standards of care. The position works under the supervision and direction of an assigned Lead Clinician or Clinician Manager and partners with the Health Center Manager to support efficient workflows, quality care, organizational performance metrics, and a positive patient experience. This is a 100% clinical role unless the Clinician Manager assigns administrative duties as needed. The position is based at the Fairbanks, Alaska Health Center; clinicians may occasionally work at more than one health center, and float clinicians may be assigned to multiple sites. The Clinician evaluates, diagnoses, and treats reproductive health concerns, including preventive care, contraception, sexually transmitted infections, pregnancy, gender-affirming hormone care, and common gynecological conditions. Clinicians are placed on a clinical ladder according to demonstrated proficiency. Level 2 and above clinicians serve as preceptors and mentors to newly hired clinicians and, when approved, external learners. Additional skill-development opportunities may be available depending on the clinician’s existing skills, engagement in independent learning, collaborative approach, and organizational needs. The role requires licensure as a Women’s Health Care Nurse Practitioner, Adult/Family Nurse Practitioner, Certified Nurse Midwife, or Physician Assistant in the state of planned clinical practice. Cross-licensing may be required based on skills and organizational needs in other geographies. BLS certification is required; ACLS may be required at the Clinician Manager’s discretion, depending on services rendered. A related MA/MS degree and at least one year of women’s health care experience are preferred. The position is full-time, nonexempt, and benefits-eligible. The Alaska hourly salary range is $46.09–$98.87, with placement commensurate with experience.
