About The Position

Mending Point Community Services Counseling Services provides out-patient and school-based therapy along with Targeted Case Management. The Community Services Clinician's primary responsibility is to provide therapeutic, clinical behavioral health services to youth and their families. Applicants must be willing to participate in a multidisciplinary team approach with community partners and be willing to travel within the identified service areas.

Requirements

  • Master's degree from an accredited institution in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or Social Work
  • Current Professional License as required by Kentucky professional boards (LPCC, LCADC, LCSW, LMFT, etc.)
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in related field of licensure
  • Effective communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and engagement skills
  • Demonstrates professional maturity and respect for others
  • Ability to support the agency's mission and philosophy, and demonstrate respect for cultural diversity and team-centric harmony
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Strong clinical documentation knowledge and skills
  • Strong computer skills (experience using EMR system preferred)
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and proof of current auto insurance
  • Must submit to required background checks and pre-hire drug screening.

Responsibilities

  • Provide crisis intervention/risk assessment
  • Develop treatment plans
  • Provide education
  • Provide intensive out-patient services
  • Provide individual, family, group and collateral therapy and referral
  • Provide supervision and care under the directives of an individualized comprehensive treatment plan in compliance with all applicable directives
  • Maintain current knowledge of discipline-specific requirements of corresponding licensing board
  • Ensure appropriate and timely renewal of licensure and certification
  • Maintain eligibility for independent licensure, as applicable
  • Caseloads may include diverse populations with a variety of clinical needs
