Reporting to the Clinical Supervisor, the Clinical Therapist is responsible for supporting quality and clinical outcomes to provide efficient and effective provision of supports and services for persons diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and their families. This role involves ensuring practice adherence to all aspects of the Standards of Professional Conduct, clinical service delivery in accordance with Quality Assurance Measures (QAM) and other legislative requirements. The therapist will develop and maintain positive relationships with families, partner agencies, interdisciplinary professionals, volunteers, government employees, direct support employees, and the community. Key responsibilities include supporting integration in educational, community, and family programs, using Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) principles to design and conduct evidence-based intervention procedures, obtaining necessary consents, and developing and implementing individual behaviour plans and protocols. The position also entails providing direct support, coaching, education, and training to individuals with ASD, families, direct support employees, Clinical Technicians, and community partners. The Clinical Therapist will record assessment results, prepare data summaries, collaborate with the Clinical Supervisor on risk assessment and mitigation, and monitor behaviour programming. Participation in team meetings, appointments, psychiatric clinics, and Person Directed Plans (PDPs) is also required, along with ensuring the health and safety of supported persons in accordance with relevant regulations.
