About The Position

Waukesha County's Department of Health & Human Services is seeking a full-time Clinical Therapist for its Outpatient Behavioral Health Services Division. This role involves serving clients in the DHS 75.50 certified Outpatient Mental Health and Substance Use Services Clinic and through the DHS 36 certified Comprehensive Community Services (CCS) program. The position is within the Counseling and Wellness unit, focusing on youth and families involved with multiple systems of care. The Outpatient Clinic is a state-certified treatment facility located at the Human Services Center, operating on weekdays from 8:00am to 8:30pm. Licensed clinicians provide individual, group, and family-focused services to residents across the lifespan who are experiencing emotional disturbances, behavioral difficulties, substance use, mental health, and/or co-occurring disorders.

Requirements

  • Graduation from a recognized college or university with a master's degree in psychology (clinical, counseling, educational), counseling and guidance, social work or closely related area
  • Candidates must have Advanced Practice Social Worker, Licensed Professional Counselor in Training, or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Training, status as a minimum
  • Two (2) years of post bachelor work experience in psychology (clinical, counseling, educational), counseling and guidance, social work or closely related area
