Clinical Technician 2 - Intermediate Care Unit
About The Position
Inova Loudoun Hospital’s Intermediate Care Unit is seeking a dedicated Clinical Technician. The position provides direct patient care under the direct supervision of registered nurses and requires effective communication with team members, patients, and visitors, as well as professionalism and integrity throughout the healthcare system. Additional duties may be assigned. This is a full-time overnight role, scheduled 7:00 PM–7:30 AM, with rotating days, weekends, and holidays. The first week requires a Monday–Friday schedule regardless of the position’s normal schedule. Training includes six classroom-style sessions in Falls Church, Virginia; one virtual orientation day; and one virtual EPIC training session. Training dates are preset and non-negotiable. Current Inova Clinical Technicians and rehires with less than one year away are exempt from the Clinical Technician Academy.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One year working as a Clinical Technician or in a related role in an acute care setting, or completion of an acute care clinical rotation with an accredited nursing program.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association, or obtain it within 90 days of hire.
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 35 pounds.
