About The Position

The Progressive Care Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care. In collaboration with medical providers, the RN provides pre-operative and post-operative nursing care and advocates for patients to support an exceptional patient experience. The RN assesses patients during admission and each shift, carries out ordered procedures and functions, documents care, administers prescribed medications and monitors responses, and maintains knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment used in cardiac and medical-surgical care.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse qualification.
• Associate degree or bachelor's degree.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (RN).
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition during admission and each shift, identifying and reporting changes in patient status.
• Perform procedures or other functions as ordered by the medical provider.
• Document care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor patient responses.
• Maintain knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment used in the care of cardiac and medical-surgical patients.
• Coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care, including pre-operative and post-operative nursing care in collaboration with medical providers.
• Advocate for patients to support a positive patient experience.
