Clinical Technician 1 - Medical Surgical
About The Position
Inova Fairfax Hospital’s Medical Surgical unit is seeking a dedicated Clinical Technician 1. The role provides direct patient care under the supervision of registered nurses and requires effective communication and professionalism when interacting with team members, patients, and visitors. Additional duties may be assigned. The position is full-time, with a day schedule from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM on rotating days, weekends, and holidays. Team members must be available for six non-consecutive weeks of paid training, including two virtual orientation sessions from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, six classroom-style shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, virtual training modules, and on-unit shifts.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association, or obtain it within 90 days of hire.
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 35 pounds.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct care to patients under the direct supervision of registered nurses.
- Communicate effectively with team members, patients, and visitors.
- Maintain professionalism and integrity throughout the healthcare system.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
