Clinical Technician 1 - Pediatric Medical Surgical
About The Position
Inova Fairfax Hospital’s Pediatric Medical Surgical unit is seeking a dedicated Clinical Technician 1. The technician provides direct patient care under the direct supervision of registered nurses, communicates effectively with team members, patients, and visitors, and maintains professionalism and integrity throughout the healthcare system. Additional duties may be assigned. This is a full-time rotating position with shifts from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM and 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM, rotating three weeks on days followed by three weeks on nights. The role includes every third weekend and one major and one minor holiday. The position requires availability for six non-consecutive weeks of paid training, including virtual orientations, classroom sessions, virtual modules, and on-unit shifts.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association, or obtain it within 90 days of hire.
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 35 pounds.
- Availability for six non-consecutive weeks of paid training.
