Clinical Technician 1 - Progressive Care Unit
About The Position
Inova Alexandria Hospital’s Progressive Care Unit is seeking a dedicated Clinical Technician. The role provides direct patient care under the direct supervision of registered nurses and requires effective communication with team members, patients, and visitors, as well as professionalism and integrity throughout the healthcare system. Additional duties may be assigned. The position is full-time on nights, with a scheduled shift of 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM and rotating days, weekends, and holidays. New hires attend a required Clinical Technician Academy and virtual training sessions on preset, non-negotiable dates. The first week follows a required Monday-through-Friday schedule regardless of the position’s normal schedule. Current Inova Clinical Technicians and rehires with less than one year away are exempt from the Academy.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association, or obtain it within 90 days of hire.
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 35 pounds.
