About The Position

Assists the organization in planning for, selecting or developing, installing, and maintaining clinical information systems. Uses knowledge and skills of clinical practice to identify clinical functions suitable for computer applications and ensure they are consistent with professional standards of clinical practice. Collaborates with users of clinical information systems and serves as a liaison between clinical and technical staff. Has full access to patient health information and may access medication storage areas, excluding controlled substances, as related to job responsibilities.

Requirements

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina.
• At least two years of clinical practice experience.
• Formal training or direct experience using personal computer email, spreadsheets, word processors, the Internet, and similar applications.
• Accurate eyesight and hearing.
• Extensive use of personal computers.
• Ability to perform essential job-specific functions unaided or with reasonable accommodation, as determined by the organization on a case-by-case basis.
• Ability to pass the basic FIT test for the position and perform the required physical activities, including walking, kneeling, standing, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, reaching, and sitting for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Four years of clinical practice experience.
• Experience with clinical information systems.

Responsibilities
