Clinical Support staff work in correctional behavioral healthcare, monitoring clients’ safety and well-being and providing motivational support and guidance to help them meet therapeutic goals. They contribute observations to treatment decisions and supervise therapeutic and recreational activities, client breaks, movement, and work functions. They help clients follow Center rules and established daily routines, and intervene when needed to manage inappropriate behavior. The role also supports clients transitioning from incarceration to the community by serving as a liaison among clients, corrections, probation, parole, community-based services, and family members, and by identifying resources and support services. Clinical Support staff collect urine samples for laboratory screening, administer breathalyzer tests, report behavioral concerns to treatment team members, and perform related office and technical duties.
