About The Position

In this role, the Clinical Support Specialist has the responsibility to work cooperatively with other administrative and clinical staff members to manage client communication and needs, whether on the phone or in person. This position has oversight of all processes involving client records from data entry to release of information to archiving. The Crisis Intervention Program is a key part of Holcomb Behavioral Health Systems, which is accredited by the Joint Commission and provides a comprehensive range of services and supports for people with mental health, substance abuse, intellectual and developmental disabilities, and co-occurring disorders throughout southern and central Pennsylvania, central New Jersey, Delaware, and Maryland. Additionally, they provide an array of prevention and educational programs for youth, parents, and adults to encourage healthy choices and lifestyles.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• One year of experience in a medical or mental health care office setting or other professional business office setting including customer service and data entry.
• Child Abuse Clearance
• Criminal clearance
• Verification that the employee is not on any Medicaid/Medicare Exclusion list

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of medical billing and insurance is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for answering the intake line during business hours
• Responsible for processing all new referrals and securing insurance eligibility verifications
• Responsible for the transmittal of referral information to the appropriate person or service within the agency
• Responsible for data entry of all referral information in electronic record
