About The Position

The Clinical Support Associate provides unlicensed, hands-on patient care and assists the interdisciplinary team in maintaining safety and high-quality standards. You will observe the physical, mental, and emotional statuses of patients, reporting immediate changes to nursing leadership.

Requirements

• Unlicensed, hands-on patient care experience
• Ability to observe physical, mental, and emotional statuses of patients
• Ability to report immediate changes to nursing leadership
• Experience with personal hygiene, bathing, and grooming
• Experience assisting with ADLs
• Ability to measure and record accurate vital signs
• Ability to track intake/output
• Ability to support safe mobility, ambulation, and patient transfers
• Experience with phlebotomy (blood draws)
• Experience with specimen collection
• Experience with point-of-care testing
• Experience with EKG testing
• Experience with peripheral IV or foley catheter removal
• Experience supporting patient admissions, unit transitions, and discharge processes
• Ability to document observations and actions timely and accurately in the electronic medical record

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, including personal hygiene, bathing, and grooming.
• Assist with independent and dependent activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Measure and record accurate vital signs and tracking intake/output.
• Support safe mobility, ambulation, and patient transfers between beds or chairs.
• Perform basic clinical tasks, including phlebotomy (blood draws) and specimen collection.
• Execute point-of-care testing, EKG testing, and peripheral IV or foley catheter removal.
• Support the patient admissions, unit transitions, and discharge processes.
• Document observations and actions timely and accurately in the electronic medical record.
