About The Position

The Clinical Supervisor assists in planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating the operations and patient care of designated areas. The position serves as a clinical resource for department staff and patients and functions as a staff nurse in the department as needed. The Clinical Supervisor also assumes managerial duties delegated by a manager and performs responsibilities in a manner consistent with Mercy’s mission, values, and Service Standards.

This is a full-time, 36-hour-per-week day-shift position at Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis, Missouri.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with an associate degree in nursing, nursing diploma, or Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
• Hold and maintain a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri or compact licensure in accordance with state board of nursing regulations.
• Have 3–5 years of hospital nursing experience.
• Hold Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association, or complete it within 30 days of hire.
• Be able to push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Be able to stand and walk for prolonged periods throughout the shift.
• Be able to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed to perform nursing duties.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Additional state licensure or specialty certifications.
• Prior management experience, including experience within change management.
