About The Position

The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is seeking a Clinical Social Worker for the Child and Adolescent Unit at Central Regional Hospital (CRH). This role involves providing clinical case management services to clients in an inpatient psychiatric setting. There is also an opportunity to offer individual and family clinical interventions, psychoeducation, and potentially lead groups.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree from an appropriately accredited school of social work.
  • Licensure required from NC SW Certification and Licensure Board.
  • Must fulfill all requirements for Licensure in North Carolina as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker as required by the North Carolina Social Work Certification and Licensure Board.
  • Licensure must be obtained prior to beginning employment.

  • Thorough knowledge of social work principles, techniques and practices, and their application to complex problems associated with child psychiatric treatment.
  • Considerable knowledge of a wide range of behavioral and psychosocial problems and their treatment.
  • Knowledge of individual, family and group dynamics.

  • Skill in establishing rapport with clients.
  • Skill in applying techniques of assessing psychosocial, behavioral, and psychological aspects of client’s problems.
