The State of Connecticut, Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS) is seeking a qualified and experienced Clinical Social Worker for the Young Adult Services (YAS) team at the Southeastern Mental Health Authority (SMHA) in Norwich, CT. This is a full-time, 40-hour position on the 1st shift, Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm. The Young Adult Program supports individuals aged 18 to 25 transitioning into the adult mental health system, helping them develop critical skills for adulthood. The multidisciplinary team offers comprehensive services including therapy, case management, life skills development, vocational and educational support, medication monitoring, community integration, and coordination of care. DMHAS's mission is to promote the health and wellness of individuals with behavioral health needs through an integrated network of services. SMHA provides high-quality behavioral health services to adults 18 and older in New London County and surrounding towns, focusing on recovery, trauma-informed care, and cultural sensitivity.
