About The Position

The Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) is a specialized research professional who works under the guidance of clinical research site management and the Principal Investigator (PI). While the PI is primarily responsible for the overall conduct of the clinical trial, the CRC manages, supports, facilitates, and coordinates the study’s daily activities. This on-site position is located in Wilmington, North Carolina.

Requirements

1–2 years of experience as a Clinical Research Coordinator.
Previous experience as a medical assistant, LPN, or RN.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to learn quickly, understand complex protocols, follow detailed directions, and multitask.
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of patient, employee, and company information and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
Extensive clinical trial knowledge through education and/or experience.
Attention to detail.
Familiarity with the Code of Federal Regulations as they pertain to human subject protection.
Strong interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

Phlebotomy experience is highly preferred.
Successful completion of GCP Certification and Advanced CRC certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist the trial Investigator in screening potential study participants and reviewing their eligibility.
Maintain case report forms, charts, and documentation.
Mentor, train, and provide high-level oversight to other clinical research coordinators and research assistants.
Ensure clinical activities comply with the research protocol, applicable laws and regulations, policies, and procedural requirements.
Collect and enter data as necessary.
Assist management with potential new-hire selection and the shadowing process.
Assist with study start-up, maintenance, and close-out as needed for team studies.
Remain flexible with study assignments.
