Clinical Research Coordinator A/B
About The Position
The University of Pennsylvania, Department of Medicine (Infectious Diseases), is seeking two highly motivated Clinical Research Coordinators A/B. These positions will be responsible for the day-to-day study operations of a five-year NIH-funded study (R01AG103431) examining how the monthly cycle of Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits affects health behaviors and health outcomes among older adults in Philadelphia. The study enrolls 400 participants over three years and includes repeated in-person study visits, electronic medication adherence monitoring, linked financial transaction data, and randomized evaluations of financial counseling and preventive health interventions.
Requirements
- BA/BS in public health-related field and 1-2 years of experience (for CRC A), or BA/BS in public health-related field and 2-4 years of experience (for CRC B), or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in basic Microsoft Office applications, e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work effectively independently is required.
Nice To Haves
- Educational background and/or research experience in public health, clinical research, and/or behavioral science preferred.
- Spanish language skills preferred.
- Experience carrying out health policy or public health research.
- Experience entering data and making reports in REDCap.
- MPH preferred.
Responsibilities
- Recruiting, screening, consenting and enrolling participants.
- Scheduling and conducting in-person and remote study visits.
- Administering surveys and structured interviews.
- Distributing and tracking study devices and participant compensation.
- Data collection and data entry.
- Following IRB and human subjects policies and regulations.
- Developing, updating, and managing study-related materials and documentation.
- Communicating with participants.
- Other research duties as needed.
- Communications with a spectrum of stakeholders (for CRC B).
- Additional involvement in developing study process strategies (for CRC B).
- Presenting data and reports to the research team (for CRC B).
