Arlington Public Schools (APS) announces an opening for the position of a Clinical Psychologist. This 12-month position serves on the RISE Team (Respond, Intervene, Support, Empower) and is assigned to the Office of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Student Support. The Clinical Psychologist operates under the general supervision of the Executive Director of Student Services or designee, exercising considerable independent judgment in providing clinical, behavioral, and crisis response services. This role involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and school-based administrators to support students experiencing significant behavioral challenges. The position emphasizes assessment, intervention, consultation, and collaboration to develop a responsive program for students. Initially, this position is onsite at the school with other RISE team members to respond to immediate behavioral needs and safety concerns, developing and implementing intervention plans with fidelity.
