About The Position

This position is under the Defense Health Agency-Atlantic Network at the James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center. As an Integrated Health Consultant in the Directorate of Mental Health, the role involves performing independent duties in accordance with generally accepted psychological theories, methods, techniques, and practices. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation. Duties include performing biopsychosocial evaluations to propose mental health interventions, providing evidence-based treatment (including behavioral, cognitive, and motivational approaches), giving regular and concise feedback to primary care providers and staff on patient status with recommendations for team-based care, and implementing psychoeducational classes to target high-frequency diagnoses found in the primary care clinic.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must meet the education and experience requirements.
  • Doctoral Degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) directly related to full professional work in clinical psychology.
  • One year of specialized experience which includes conducting mental health assessments; providing individual and group treatment; and working as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • A current, active, valid, unrestricted clinical license to practice Psychology independently, offered by a U.S. State, District of Columbia, commonwealth, territory or jurisdiction.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
  • Must fulfill credentialing requirements and obtain and maintain appropriate/relevant clinical privileges.
  • Must obtain and maintain a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from, or in accordance with, the American Heart Association and American Red Cross.
  • Must have a current, active, valid, unrestricted clinical license to practice Psychology independently, offered by a U.S. State, District of Columbia, commonwealth, territory or jurisdiction.

Responsibilities
