About The Position

This position is located at Evans Army Community hospital, Fort Carson, CO. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Advance in Hire may be authorized. Duties Apply biopsychosocial evaluations to propose mental health interventions. Provide evidence-based treatment, including behavioral, cognitive, and motivational approaches. Provide primary care providers and staff regular and concise feedback on the status of referred patients, to include recommendations for team-based care. Implement psychoeducational classes to target high frequency diagnoses found in the primary care clinic. Document information in the electronic health record during patient encounters.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
  • Immunization screening is required. Hepatitis B immunization is required for all positions with direct patient contact.
  • Must be able to fulfill credentialing requirements and obtain and maintain appropriate/relevant clinical privileges.
  • Doctoral Degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) directly related to full professional work in clinical psychology.
  • One year of specialized experience which includes conducting mental health assessments; providing individual and group treatment; and working as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Must possess a current, active, valid, and unrestricted clinical license to practice Psychology independently offered by a U.S. State, District of Columbia, Commonwealth, territory, or jurisdiction.
