About The Position

The mission of the neurology department is to provide outstanding clinical care, train leading neurologists and scientists of the future, and to be an international leader in clinical and basic research on the disorders of the nervous system. Our goal is to bring scientific research and discovery from the bench to the bedside to improve the lives of our patients. The position will support the Neurology service areas.

Requirements

• BSN is required
• Bachelor's Degree - Nursing/Bus/PH/related
• 2-5 years experience
• < 2 years supervisor experience
• RN license

Nice To Haves

• Master's Degree - Nursing/Bus/PH/related
• 5-10 years experience

Responsibilities

• Manages individual(s) including but not limited to: hires, trains, assigns work, manages & evaluates performance, conducts professional development plans. Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership.
• Develops and adheres to departmental staffing, revenue and/or expense budgets. Responds to changes in the business which may affect the ability to achieve the budget goals.
• Directs operations and integrates services within the work unit and with other departments.
• Collaborates with health care team members to provide patient care. Ensures team compliance with departmental policies, regulatory requirements and professional standards; keeps policies and procedures up-to-date and participates in revisions as needed.
• Ensures patients and families receive education throughout continuum of care.
• Monitors care to optimize patient outcomes.
• Manages the health care of a specific population of patients.
