About The Position

The Clinical Program Manager for Mental Health oversees the Mental Health team and the day-to-day functioning of the program. They will focus on supporting the optimization of services, increasing staff productivity, expanding program areas, as well as streamlining and integrating care within RS EDEN’s Recovery, ReEntry, and Supportive Housing areas. This position will focus on developing mental health specific family programming, and engaging with families within the program areas. Priorities also include new initiatives in mental health, and integrating mental health more effectively into other program areas, to increase impact and improve impact and outcomes. This position will establish practices of integrated care across a multidisciplinary team. In addition, it will provide a small amount of direct care to participants. Success is a result of innovation and creativity, flexibility, and a willingness to apply learned practices and experiences effectively. Effective time management practices are essential. This position requires self-confidence and the ability to exercise individual discretion and judgment. Sound organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks are required. They must have strong conflict resolution skills and the ability to work through crisis situations in a professional, therapeutic, and positive manner.

Requirements

  • Licensed as Mental Health Professional, by the State of Minnesota, unrestricted.
  • Experience in providing participant care for those with co-occurring disorders
  • Ability to effectively work with individuals with complex mental health needs
  • Experience with participants with history of homelessness and justice involvement
  • Ability to relate to people from diverse backgrounds with complex barriers to success.
  • Ability to act as a positive and supportive presence for participants and staff, even under stressful circumstances with a highly professional and compassionate approach and a commitment to person-centered care.
  • 6-month requirement between any treatment services and employment.
  • RS EDEN requires all new hire candidates for this position to successfully undergo and pass a criminal history background check, and driver record screen (DMV check).

Responsibilities

  • Complete Diagnostic evaluations for participants with complex mental health needs
  • Attend clinical team meetings as needed to provide guidance on wholistic support for participants
  • Support the care coordination process in multiple program areas
  • Develop the family specific mental health programming workflow, including supporting families in crisis
  • Directly supervise staff on the mental health team
  • Provide Clinical Supervision of pre-licensed therapists or interns as needed
  • Develop initiatives within the mental health program area, including expansion of programming, streamlining operations, and staff development
  • Provide ongoing training to mental health staff, as well as other staff as needed
  • Develop and implement new protocols and practices
  • Optimization of mental health services within multiple program areas
  • Develop and implement the co-occurring enhancement of mental health in Recovery programming
  • Support processes and practices for multidisciplinary work within programs
  • Build screening for participants with complex mental health needs through the admission process in Recovery and ReEntry
  • Work with the clinical team to incorporate mental health components into the scope of Recovery programming
  • Identify and implement pathways for program expansion to increase impact, such as obtaining a 245I licensure at the Mental Health Clinic.
  • Participate in staff meetings, in-service training, outside training events, and additional training as necessary and appropriate to maintain growth and development for self and team
  • Perform other duties as required.
