Job Summary: Directs, manages and coordinates the inpatient and outpatient Senior Bridges Geriatric Psychiatric programs ensuring appropriate care is delivered to patients in accordance with Hospital and regulatory standards. Job responsibilities include marketing the program to referral sources, physicians and the community. Director has 24/7 operational responsibility for the department.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Social Work, Masters Degree in Counseling or Psychology
  • LMSW, LCSW, LPCA, or LPC.
  • At least 6 months' work in individual therapy, group therapy, family therapy, case management and discharge planning preferably in an inpatient psychiatric facility
  • Familiarity with ethical and legal duties regarding reporting of abuse.

Responsibilities

  • Participates in the design of clinical programs across the continuum of care.
  • Works effectively with multidisciplinary team to ensure the efficacy of treatment.
  • Participates in maintaining a safe and hazard free environment.
  • Advocate of patient’s rights, treats patients, physicians and co-workers with respect at all times
  • Acts as an administrative resource for hospital business development and markets the program on a consistent schedule.
  • Develops relationships with referral sources, physicians and the community.
  • Markets the program through personal contact, collaterals and providing education about the services available.
  • Ensures consistent and timely follow-up with referral sources regarding the assessment and admission of patients.
