Director of Technology Resiliency

Fidelity National FinancialJacksonville, FL

About The Position

The Corporate Technology organization is seeking a leader to own and evolve the Technology Resiliency and Recovery program. This role is responsible for designing, operationalizing, and continuously improving resilience capabilities across hybrid, cloud native, and SaaS platforms, ensuring the organization can anticipate, withstand, recover from, and adapt to disruptive events. The role goes beyond traditional disaster recovery and focuses on end to end service resilience, aligning technology recovery objectives with business impact tolerance, cyber resilience requirements, and regulatory expectations.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in technology recovery, resilience, or large scale infrastructure operations.
  • Demonstrated ownership of enterprise level recovery or resilience programs, not limited to plan documentation alone.
  • Proven experience designing and operating technology resilience solutions for Azure and hybrid/multi cloud environments.
  • Experience developing service centric recovery and cyber resilience playbooks, including validation and evidence artifacts.
  • Demonstrated leadership during high severity technology incidents or crisis events.
  • Strong collaboration skills across Infrastructure, Application, Cloud, Identity, Security, Risk, and Audit teams.
  • Experience managing multiple high impact initiatives in complex, fast moving environments.
  • Working knowledge of resilience related frameworks and expectations (e.g., operational resilience, cyber resilience, audit readiness).
  • Ability to communicate effectively with engineers, architects, executives, and non technical stakeholders.
  • Strong written communication skills suitable for executive updates and governance artifacts.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools (Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Nice To Haves

  • Certifications related to recovery, continuity, cloud, or security (e.g., DRI, cloud architecture, or cyber resilience disciplines).
  • Experience aligning technology recovery to regulatory or risk based requirements.
  • Exposure to automation, infrastructure as code, or platform engineering models.

Responsibilities

  • Own and lead the enterprise Technology Resiliency Program, including strategy, policies, standards, metrics, and continuous improvement frameworks.
  • Define and maintain resilience design patterns aligned to cloud-first, zero trust, and assume-breach principles.
  • Translate business impact tolerances into measurable recovery objectives (RTO, RPO, RLO, MTPD) across services and platforms.
  • Partner with Infrastructure, Application, Cloud, and Security Architecture teams to embed resilience-by-design into Azure and multi-cloud platforms, hybrid workloads, identity, directory, and shared services, and critical SaaS dependencies.
  • Influence architectural decisions related to high availability, regional diversity, backup isolation, restore assurance, and cyber recovery.
  • Lead the creation, maintenance, and execution of Technology Recovery Plans and Service Resilience Scenarios.
  • Evolve testing from scheduled tabletop exercises to realistic simulations, including region failures, identity compromise, ransomware and destructive attacks, and supplier and SaaS outages.
  • Establish automated or metrics driven recovery validation where feasible, including restore testing and recovery evidence.
  • Act as a senior technology partner during major incidents and enterprise crises, supporting command decisions related to recovery sequencing and trade-offs.
  • Collaborate closely with Information Security, Business Continuity, Risk Management, Legal, Audit, and Communications functions.
  • Support post incident reviews focused on systemic resilience improvements, not just corrective actions.
  • Govern the resilience posture of technology vendors and managed services, including cloud providers, backup platforms, and critical SaaS services.
  • Assess concentration risk, shared responsibility models, and exit strategies for key technology dependencies.
  • Track emerging technologies and industry practices related to cyber recovery, immutable backups, and clean room restoration.
  • Lead and develop the Technology Resiliency team, fostering a culture focused on preparedness, clarity, and continuous learning.
  • Build capabilities across engineering and operations teams through guidance, tooling, and repeatable patterns.
  • Act as the organization’s subject matter authority for technology resilience.
